We like to take time to remember a legendary rapper who passed away on today shortly this afternoon, he started his rap career in 1987 with his first album Livin Large he released his new album back in September 2011 called "Love Opus" on September 17, 2011. He also was last seen at the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards back in October when he performed his greatest hits of all time with R&B singer/actor Tyrese. The news of his death shocked fans everywhere from twitter to facebook with lots of love and even a special fanpage on facebook that was just built two hours ago called "RIP Heavy D" already has 2,000+ fans on board to show their respects to a true rap ICON!! he'll never be forgotten sends love and respects to him and his family he was (44) when he passed

as his last and final tweets stated on his official twitter page:
"Never stop believing.. Magic is just science we don't understand.. Every original idea was considered insanity at first.."
and his final tweet to his twitter fans was yesterday November 7, 2011 was
"BE INSPIRED"
Hope his fans can take message to his final tweets say and always be thankful for what you have and never take nothing for granted always BE INSPIRED by someone who taught you how to love and be yourself and follow your dreams of being the next big star he will never be forgotten we love and we miss you
